Suz Winspear – poet

Suz Winspear is a well-known local poet, with a distinctive image and style, who has performed extensively on the West Midlands spoken word scene with both poetry and prose. She was the Worcestershire Poet Laureate for 2016-17, and is also Poet in Residence at the Museum of Royal Worcester. Her collection I do not need a new Obsession was published in 2013. Her pamphlet for the Porcelain Museum about the lives of the ceramics workers, The Aniseed Elite, came out in June 2017, and her latest poetry collection, The Awkward People, was published by Black Pear Press in December 2017. She has also written a non-fiction book about the Worcester Theatre Royal – Worcester’s Lost Theatre.
