Opening the Floodgates: call out for artists has another opportunity to see the salvaged materials

Tuesday 15th August, 10:30 am

Opening the Floodgates is a commissioning opportunity open to artists living and working in the West Midlands. We invite proposals for re-purposing flood waste to make an original, site specific public artwork that explores the area’s biodiversity and visualises a future for the West Midlands waterways.

Come along on Tuesday 15th August at 10:30 am to meet the team and to see the salvaged materials you could use in your proposed work. We will meet outside the Buildbase shop at Navigation Road, Diglis Trading Estate, Worcester WR5 3DE and walk together to the salvage yard. Please book a free place on this short tour here.

Applications to Opening the Floodgates are encouraged from artists at all stages of their careers. Application forms are available on our Projects page, with more details and answers to FAQs: applications close on 31st August. The winning artist will be announced in mid-September.

If you know an artist who might be interested, please pass on news of this opportunity.
